Too much noise! On the 2nd June, wrestling champions Balla Gaye II and Tapha Tine will lock horns at the Demba Diop Stadium in Dakar. Close to 50,000 fans are expected to throng the stadium, but interestingly only 17,000 seats are available.
It’s going to be Tapha Tine’s biggest battle in his career and he’s not shrinking from the situation – he’s embracing it. The serere wrestler promised to teach ‘arrogant’ Balla a lesson.
Balla Gaye II is the king of the arena. According to him, it would not take him more than two minutes to bring Tapha on the ground. However, some critics disagreed and recently Balla has started including “if God wish†in whatever statement he makes about the fight.
When the two champions meet face-to-face at Demba Diop Stadium, the fight may not be as quick as Balla predicted. Tapha has a brilliant record in the arena; he has defeated most of his opponents.
Are you ready to watch the fight? What is your prediction?
