Barrow’s Nationwide Tour: 50 villages and towns, 10 days

President Adama Barrow has departed the State House on Monday on his second Nationwide Tour as president.

In a press release, his office revealed: "In fulfilment of section 222 (15) of the 1997 Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency, President Adama Barrow will embark on a nationwide tour of the country to dialogue with the public on a variety of pertinent issues in the country."

The duration of the tour is ten days and during this period the president will “connect and engage first-hand with the members of the public on the government’s development blueprint – the National Development Plan, particularly the President’s priority areas.”

Here are the 50 villages and towns that Barrow will be visiting.

North Bank Region

Barra, Essau, Aljamdou, Medina Serigne Mass, Darasilami, Kerewan, Njaba Kunda, Noo Kunda, Chamen, Farafenni

Central River Region

Jarumeh Koto, Janjanbureh, Bansang, Brikama Ba, Jerreng, Njain Sanjal , Kaur wharf Town, Nioro Tukulor, Kuntaur Fula Kunda

Upper River Region

Bakadaji, Numuyel, Sabi ,Basse, Fatoto, Suduwol, Garawol, Pirai, Kundam, Basse, Diabugu , Foday Kunda, Nyakoi

Lower River Region

Bureng, Jappineh, Soma, Mansakonko, Kaiaf, Kwinella, Jiffarong

West Coast Region

Bwiam, Sibanor, Kafuta, Faraba, Brikama, Busumbala, Wellingara, Gunjur, Brufut

Kanifing Municpality

Serrekunda(Buffer Zone)
