A supporter of President Adama Barrow was recently arrested after he entered a house intending to steal a mobile phone worth thousands of Dalasi.
The incident occurred in Brikama Jamisa in the West Coast Region around 7 am.
One Sanna Kuyateh disclosed to What's On-Gambia: "He was nabbed by my brother and we all came out to see what was happening."'
He alleged the thief, who refused to disclose his name to them, is a supporter of the president and leader of the National People's Party (NPP).
Sanna disclosed while they were waiting to hand him over to the police, the thief confessed to killing a young man last year outside the famous Brikama Jokor.
The president’s support is yet to appear in court for housebreaking and attempted theft.
