.Blogger Saul Njie upsets Diaspora strugglers with “Gambia nice” posts

Famous blogger Saul Njie has just returned to the USA after a study tour in The Gambia. He not only enjoyed his stay but also shared with his social media audiences photos of beautiful places that fascinated him.

But his activities, which tell the story of a transformed Gambia, do not apparently sit well with diaspora-based anti-government political activists, known as the strugglers.

Fatou Sagnia, one of the most outspoken young women in the struggle, said: “It’s truly sad that such beauty can only be appreciated by the visiting semesters…”

Another US-based struggler, Momodou Ndow, famous for his acerbic opinions on pretty much everything, took to Facebook in what seems like a veiled attack on Saul.

He wrote in the Gambian Youth and Women Forum: “It is OK to go to Gambia and deal with the situation there and boil inside, but just don’t pretend as if you having a fly time.”

The blogger, who seems to pay very little attention on the criticisms directed at him, is still sharing photos showing to the world how beautiful his home country is.
