A young man (name withheld) has accused some senior government officials of "chasing" his girlfriend.

In a message to What's On-Gambia, he disclosed: "Certain men in certain positions of power are abusing their powers to get favors in return. I have a girlfriend who is into show business and has been planning an upcoming event."

He continued: "She has been visiting certain offices asking for sponsorship and every single day, she would come back and tell me that the men she finds in those offices asked for sexual favors in return.

"These men would call or text her even when we are together late at night and you would be surprised how disgusting their messages are, and these are elderly and respected people in our society."

When asked to name some of the senior government officials who “chased” his girlfriend, the young man responded: "She still doesn't want to tell me who exactly they are because she's worried I might go and confront them. To protect her identity, I prefer not to disclose the names."

But he revealed there was a prominent hotel owner (name withheld) who tried to sleep with his girlfriend.
