Three Brikama boys have promised to walk from Brikama to Dakar to congratulate the Senegalese national team for winning the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Their names are Mamadou S Camara, Ensa Touray, and Haruna Jallow. They consider themselves big fans of the Lions of Teranga and want to meet some of the team's biggest stars including Sadio Mane.
Senegal was on Sunday crowned the champions of Africa after defeating Mohamed Salah's Egypt on penalties.
The three boys said: "We are so happy that the Lions of Teranga won the AFCON. We are walking from Brikama to Dakar to show the world how much we love the Senegalese team."
According to them, they will start the long walk on February 15 and hope to arrive in the Senegalese capital before the end of the month.
Mamadou is in his final year at the Gambia College, Essa is a grade 12 graduate, while Haruna is in Grade 11.
