I slept behind him for five years, cooked food for him, laundered his clothes and delivered two boys for him. How could he do this to me – sleep with my best friend’s elder sister in my matrimonial bed? This is the cry of a Brikama girl, Laila Jallow, who appears to be the latest victim of the spate of the husband-snatching phenomenon.
Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, she claimed that Haddy Sanneh, also from Brikama, is in a serious relationship with the father of her two children. Her marriage and the long-standing friendship between her and Haddy’s sister have been destroyed as a result.
“I am married to this Pa Batchilly for five years. We got two boys. He betrayed me, sleeping with my best friend’s elder sister. I want to see them exposed before I die,” she said.
She continued: “Can you imagine my husband is still refusing to talk about the problem.”
The now mid-divorce mother-of-two also accused Haddy of sleeping with her husband inside her matrimonial bedroom.
“I am really in pain. He betrayed me. He killed me. He destroyed my life seriously. I am dead, but Yallah bahna.”
