Jatou Mbowe a.k.a The Boss Chick is in New York, USA for a one-week break, according to rumors reaching What’s On-Gambia. 

The famous club DJ, who was hit by a scandal in October 2013, left the country on the 5^th February, our source disclosed. She’s reportedly staying at the Holiday Inn Garden Hotel in New York. 

Jatou has been keeping a low profile, but according to a friend she is now considering her next big move in the entertainment industry. 

“She is trying to rebuild her image and her fans are throwing their support behind her.  She is an intelligent lady with lots of ideas and I’m sure she will bounce back soon,” said the friend. 

It’s unlikely the 24-year-old will overstay in the USA as she is said to be in discussions with a prominent businessman to start something in the country. 

Jatou, who prides herself as The Gambia’s first female club DJ, recently posted a glimpse of her American vacation with Instagram photos of herself wrapped up in winter clothes.
