Comedian and TV star Muhammed Darboe got married last week to one Maimuna. In a Facebook Live, he jokingly said he's now Wollof and would soon stop speaking Mandinka.

"Muhammed is now Wollof. I am not the first Mandinka to be snatched by a Wollof woman. I am not the first," he told his viewers.

The famous comedian continued: "I will soon stop speaking Mandinka. We the Wollofs, we know what we are doing."

According to him, he's happier than ever.

Muhammed and his Wollof wife tied the knot last week after a whirlwind romance. In attendance were their family members and friends.

Photos of their wedding gathered thousands of likes on Facebook. One Janding Jawara commented: "Congratulations to Muhammad and wifey. Allama barakokelajeh."

Another Facebook user, Khadiija Bamba Shering also commented: "Congratulations. May your marriage be filled with love, laughter, and everlasting happiness."
