The National Assembly Member (NAM) for Kantora Constituency in the Upper River Region has bagged himself a US-based Gambian wife, according to reports reaching What’s On-Gambia.
Billay G. Tunkara of the United Democratic Party (UDP) tied the knot with Aisha Kebbeh last month in a colourful ceremony attended by their relatives and friends.
The couple allegedly started dating shortly after the NAM entered the race to become his constituency’s representative in the National Assembly in Banjul.
According to a source, Hon Tunkara is a former teacher at Stratford College of Management in Serre Kunda.
He’s planning to join his new wife in the USA anytime his political career comes to an end.
Billay was previously married, but have no children.
