He’s described as a mouthy person, but the former spokesman for the Senegalese presidency has refused to comment on his alleged sexual affair with Fatou Camara.

Now based in the US from where she operates an anti-Jammeh radio, Fatou had allegedly told the country’s intelligence agency that she had an intimate affair with Jules Diop in 2013 while in Dakar on a business trip.

“I just needed a man and I used him,” Daily Observerquoted Fatou as saying in her purported cautionary statement made at the NIA.

When contacted by What’s On-Gambia, Jules declined to comment.

However, he made an attempt to refute the allegation, telling the Senegalese media that he never had a romantic involvement with the former GRTS presenter.

Was Fatou’s alleged affair with Jules fabricated by the NIA or a reality?

Last week, the internet was awash with different suggestions. Fatou’s fans insisted it was a fabrication aimed at ‘breaking’ her.

Fatou herself continues to maintain that her relationship with Jules was entirely innocent.

But her BFF, Fatou Touray, who was with her in Dakar, told US-based Freedom Newspaperthat there was sexual tension between the two. She did not elaborate on what she witnessed.
