Gambian boy lands modelling job with Cubus

Aji Mariayatou Jammeh is unquestionably one of the proudest Gambian mothers in Norway right now. Her son has landed his first-ever modelling job with one of Scandinavia's largest fashion chains.

13-year-old Ousman Jagne was spotted by a casting agency in the Norwegian capital which led to his discovery by Cubus.

His proud mother said: "He is a handsome young man and that's why he was booked for Cubus. Modelling is now something he wants to pursue alongside education."

She added: "I am sure Ousman will inspire a lot of young Gambians in Norway and make them more confident."

Cubus, which has more than 230 stores in countries like Norway, Sweden, Poland, Latvia and Germany, is a very popular fashion chain with clothes for children, women and men.

Could this be a big break for Ousman? He now has Facebook, where he regularly shares some of his photos.
