Who says the Gambian dream is no longer alive?
Lilian Azizi is one of the most successful foreign-born young women in the country.
The Malawian moved to The Gambia with her European husband and it didn’t take long before Lilian fell in love with The Gambia and its open and friendly people.
Together with her husband, they started Afriq Cars, a car rental service that is increasingly becoming popular.
In an interview with the online magazine, InGambia, she said: “I started my car rental business with one car and gradually worked my way up. Today, it’s a business that most rely on.”
Lilian is a woman who has her fingers in many pies. She is also working with SN Brussels as Sales Representative.
Lily360 Studios is also another business she is running. According to her, they offer graphic design, videography and photography.
“We will soon launch our design and printing store in New town, Bakau next to the GT Bank,” she said.
With her success in business, Lilian is giving back to the society by helping to raise the level of entrepreneurship. She wants to see more independent young people in The Gambia.
The Malawian black beauty said she offers coaching to start-ups, businesswomen and men, imparting them with free professional advice needed in the competitive world of business.
It looks like Lilian is not returning to Malawi anytime soon. Her brother, Harold has also moved to The Gambia to help run Afriq Cars.
