Gambian music lovers in Italy have crowned artist An2 (Attack) as the new King of Gambian Music during his debut performance in the Italian city of Turin.
The “Hasidol” hitmaker is currently on a European tour, already making stops in several major Italian cities where he has pulled impressive crowds made up of both Gambians and non-Gambians.
However, his show in Turin stood out. The energy, turnout, and overwhelming support led fans to crown him the King of Gambian Music. Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, a member of the Gambian community in Turin known on social media as Yankz Darry said An2’s impact on the music scene is unmatched.
“What he is doing right now in the music scene is unmatchable, and that is why we felt he deserves to be crowned as the king of the game,” he wrote.
Following the completion of his European tour, An2 is expected to return home to finalize work on his upcoming album, Talk of the Town, scheduled for release on January 31 at the GCCI Trade Fair Grounds in Bijilo.
