A Bakau Kachikally girl is under investigation after she allegedly set her brother’s house ablaze simply because she was upset that he seized some of her clothes and makeup products.

Kumba Jaiteh, who is said to be in her early 20s, carried out the act when her brother, Modou Lamin Jaiteh was at work.

A family member who contacted What’s On-Gambia revealed: “She stole her brother’s money amounting to D10, 500 and disappeared. Modou Lamin decided to seize some of her clothes and makeup products.

“While he was away, Kumba entered his house and set it on fire. It was last week Wednesday around 9am in the morning.”

According to the family member, who begged for anonymity, most of the properties in the house were lost to the inferno.
