Grade 9 student suspended for slapping class teacher

A Grade 9 student at Charles Jow Memorial Academy in Bundung has been suspended following an incident where she allegedly slapped her class teacher during a confrontation.

A source disclosed: "Charles Jow Memorial Academy has lost its glory since Principal Alpha Khan left. A female student recently slapped her class teacher and this case is still ongoing."

When questioned about the reason behind the altercation, the source explained: "The student was just being rude. The teacher asked her to leave the class, and she refused, leading to the confrontation."

The student was allegedly suspended by the school administration while they conducted a thorough investigation into the incident.

"For now, she is asked to stay home until her final Gambia Basic Education Examination Certificate Examination (GABECE) in July," said our source.
