Haddy Faye has a reason to smile as she continues to rake in the cash thanks to her event planning and production company, Absolute Glam Entertainment.

According to a source close to Haddy, her annual turnover has increased in the past few years since she started bringing international music giants to The Gambia for concerts at the Independence Stadium.

The Absolute boss, fondly known as Black Barbie, was the official organiser of Youssou Ndour’s last weekend shows. She’s expected to pocket more than D2m from ticket sales and sponsorships.

One of her keen followers online jokingly told What’s On-Gambia: “The so-called Barbie is chopping some money.”

Haddy and her Gambia-based Syrian boyfriend, Raafat Al-Ahmar got engaged on stage during Youssour Ndour’s performance at the Coco Ocean, and it was all caught on video by famous photographer Alhagie Manka.
