Not for the first time, What’s On-Gambia is facing the ire of a Gambian celebrity for its gossipy intrusiveness.

Ameena Jobe, a UK-based legal practitioner, has threatened to sue the online magazine over an article it published about her controversial breast implants.

What’s On-Gambiareported last week that she allegedly spent more than D250, 000 to enlarge her boobs.

Acting like she is as powerful as Amal Clooney (actor George Clooney’s lawyer wife), Ameena vowed to take the publishers of the online magazine to the cleaners. According to her, she has the money to drag them to court in any part of the world.

“I can be ruthless!” she said.

One of her friend’s in Sweden, Aisha Faye also unloaded on What’s On-Gambia, saying: “Who are you to judge her when your hands are dirtier. One of the worst acts that God hates is what you do daily: BACKBITING.  You are all disgracing us.”

Responding to Ameena’s threat, the editor of the nation’s most read news website said: “Do you know how many threats we received since we started? We are Gambian celebrities’ bête noir. Ameena is not an ordinary person and going through her Facebook and Instagram, you would easily notice that.  As a lawyer, we expected her to know that throwing a full-fledged tantrum on social media is not the way to solve problems.”

According to the editor, they are not shaken one bit by Aisha’s threat to sue them over privacy breach.
