Waka Jagne doesn’t want people to think he is broke and struggling to pay his bills.

Photos have emerged online showing the famous event organizer giving away cash at the recently held Pape Diouf concert.

“He was on the stage at the Pencha Mii Hall. I saw few bank notes in his hands and he was throwing them at both artists and audience members,” said a source who was at the concert.

But a Waka critic told What’s On-Gambia: “Waka is just faking it, we all know that he is having some money troubles. His business is no longer working. I live in London and I know what I am telling you.”

The London-based event organizer, who is in the country on vacation, was one of the richest semesters in the 1990s. But his fame came with a price.

Waka is now a ‘good boy’ and actively involved in the broadcasting media.  He is the host of Talk Sengambia on Ben TV in the UK.
