In a Facebook post, Ebou Jallow alleged that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat is funding Essa Faal to run for president on December 4.
"Multiple sources informing me that the Ahmadi's are bankrolling Essa to compete for the presidency in Dec. 2021," wrote the former AFPRC junta spokesman.
One of his followers, Amadou Colley commented: "So that he can make our country an Ahmadi state. Let them keep dreaming."
Facebook user, Ibrahim Manneh wrote: "Am not surprised the way he was defending them."
The deputy party leader of the former ruling party, APRC, Ousman Rambo Jatta also commented: "Didn't I mention this in one of my audios."
During a recent appearance on an online talk show, Essa Faal, the lead counsel at the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission, declined to reveal whether he has presidential ambitions.
