A Grade 10 girl from Dongoro Ba in Jarra, Lower River Region has resurfaced alive and well, days after her friend was told the shocking news that she died.

The student, who attends Bureng Senior Secondary School, had gone missing for around two weeks. During that time, her cousin informed her friend that the missing girl died after a brief illness. 

However, in a surprising turn of events, the friend then received a call from the missing girl herself disclosing that she was actually alive and had returned home.

The girl alleged she was kidnapped by criminals while running an errand for her mother near Wellingara Ba. 

According to her, she managed to escape. But claimed there were two or three other abducted girls under the captivity of the kidnappers.

Although her family did inform the police about the incident, the girl said she was too afraid and traumatized to return to the scene.
