German Police have arrested a Somali refugee after John Mendy, popularly known as Parker, was stabbed and killed on Saturday in front of his 3-year-old son, Emanuel.

 A source disclosed to What's On-Gambia that Parker, who arrived in Germany 3-4 years ago via the back way, was standing on his balcony when his Somali neighbour approached him and stabbed him with a knife.  

 Police said the 39-year-old Gambian tried to ward off the attack and they both fell from the balcony. 

 He was confirmed dead at the scene. The postmortem reportedly revealed Parker died from stab wounds. 

 Germany-based Gambian event promoter, Chris Black is currently raising funds to repatriate the body to The Gambia. 

 "Our target is to raise €15,000. Already, we are negotiating with the authorities on how to send the body home as soon as possible. John was an amazing guy, a devoted father, friendly and caring," said Chris. 

 The Somali man is yet to appear in court.
