Journalist Cheikh Yérim Seck’s Ex-Wife is Now President Barrow’s Sister-in-Law

The ex-wife of Senegalese journalist Cheikh Yérim Seck has officially become part of The Gambia’s First Family. The woman, popularly known on social media as Ngola Diva, recently married Bully Barrow, the younger brother of  President Adama Barrow.

Ngola Diva, who boasts over 100,000 followers on TikTok, is now Bully’s third wife. The news of their marriage spread rapidly across social media after Senegalese influencer Rox posted a video announcing the union, leaving many Gambians both surprised and intrigued.

Although details about how the couple met remain unclear, social media videos suggest that Ngola Diva is close friends with Bully’s sister, Alimatou. The two women even performed Umrah together in Saudi Arabia, sparking speculation that Alimatou may have introduced her brother to Ngola Diva.

In one video shared online, Ngola Diva is seen being escorted during a visit to her husband’s home village, Mankamang Kunda, further confirming her new status within the Barrow family.

Before her new marriage, Ngola Diva’s relationship with her ex-husband, Cheikh Yérim Seck, was highly publicized and often turbulent. Their divorce was widely discussed on TikTok, where she posted several videos sharing her side of the story .

Ngola Diva now holds the distinction of being the first Senegalese woman to marry into the Gambian First Family. It remains to be seen whether she will relocate permanently to The Gambia to live with her new husband.
