Sheriff Bojang Jnr, a Gambian journalist based in Dakar, Senegal, is among 31 finalists for the CNN MultiChoice African Journalists Awards 2015.
The finalists are from 15 African countries. According to CNN’s Isha Sesay, the award shines a light on the best story tellers in Africa.
Sheriff Bojang Jr. is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished young journalists in The Gambia. He started his career with Daily Observer, while attending Bottrop Senior Secondary School in Brikama.
Now working with West Africa Democracy Radio, The Guardian and RFI English, he is hoping to become the most recent Gambian journalist to bag a CNN award.
The CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards is the most prestigious and respected award for journalists across the African continent. Last year’s winner, Joseph Mathenge is a photographer from Kenya.
