Famous reggae promoter and social media influencer, King Pata has told the newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) to legalise marijuana. 

Commenting on Abdoulie Sanyang's appointment, he wrote: "Yesss papa Abdoulie, good breda. Gwan free up the marijuana." 

He also appealed to the new IGP to tell his men to stop arresting young men and dragging them to court for smoking marijuana. 

"Ask your police bwoy dem fi ease off. Seen!" said Pata. 

Abdoulie's appointment as IGP was announced last week, less than one month after the death of his predecessor, Mamour Jobe. 

He is one of the most respected police officers in the country. Abdoulie has extensive experience in multiple aspects of law enforcement.
