Hellen Maroun is no longer married to Balla Gaye, but her family members are still staunch supporters of the champion wrestler.

Last Sunday, Balla was disgracefully defeated by Bombardier. It seems like his reign as the lion of the arena is over, but he remains the most popular wrestler in Senegambia.

Following the widely-celebrated defeat, Janine Maroun, Balla Gaye’s former sister-in-law, took to Facebook to express her love and support for the wrestler.

“Congrats Jata Jata you did well. You’ll always be a Winner 2 out of 20 ken munu ko so ull always be a Winner. ….Teamballa forever.”

Janine encouraged her sister’s ex-husband to believe in ‘God’s decision’, and prepare for the next season.

But she is not the only one in the popular Maroun family rallying to support Balla Gaye. According to reports reaching What’s On-Gambia, the whole family is still rooting for the lion.

So the question on everyone’s lips is this: Is the Maroun family in contact with Balla Gaye?

And why should they support a man that failed to treat their daughter/sister with dignity and love?

May be Hellen Maroun is trying to reconcile with her estranged husband. Shortly after their famous divorce, it was easy to tell that Hellen was still wrapped up in emotions involving Balla.

No matter how much the former Maroun Supermarket boss tries to get over the wrestler and focus on other things, she really can’t force herself to stop thinking of him.

Should the Maroun family continue to support the arrogant and loudmouthed Balla Gaye?
