Childhood friends that used to live in the same compound in Latrikunda Sabiji are now a couple.

Rasine Mbowe, 23, and M Jasseh, 23, got married in a private ceremony. The low-key event was attended by family members and close friends.

The couple had been friends since their childhood and their families also have close association for a long time.

M told What’s On-Gambia: “We were living in the same compound in Latri Kunda Sabiji, where he was brought up by his step dad. We attended the same primary school, but he later moved to Ebo Town. We kept in touch and that was how our love relationship developed.”

Rasine, who is based in Dubai, is happy that his wife is someone that he knows too well.

“I will never regret having him as my husband. He is caring and loves me. His family loves me as well. I am happy that I found him,” said M.
