When Melville Roberts was born, his biological mother dumped him at the main gate of the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital. Fortunately, he was found alive and later adopted by a nurse from an Aku family in Banjul.
This was revealed by Mama Linquere Sarr in one of her recent attacks against the former permanent secretary, who is currently facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.
She wrote on Facebook: "So the pathetic rapist is not even Aku, this is a boy whose mum abandoned him at the door of the hospital and he was discovered by a kind Aku nurse who raised him as her own."
Mama Linquere alleged Melville was very abusive and aggressive towards his adoptive mothers.
"As we speak, there is a case against Melville at our courts with the family accusing him of defrauding their old mother who changed her will before she died and left everything to Melville and nothing for her family. Melville still does not talk to his adoptive mother's biological children and to top it off also stole their inheritance. God is not sleeping Melville and you will pay for the many families and people you made to suffer through your despicable actions," she said.
A new Facebook page that was recently opened to defend Melville has punched back at Mama Linguere saying: "Melville's skin is as thick as the back of a camel and trust me whatever you say to him or write about him slides off his back just as water would on the back of a duckling."
The former permanent secretary, who recently bagged a Master's Degree from Oxford University, is expected to appear in court after the coronavirus lockdown over charges of rape and sexual assault.
