One Mr. Sanneh was on Monday arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court for recording himself having sex with a 20-year-old woman without her consent.

According to Standard Newspaper, the man pleaded not guilty to the charges before Magistrates MB Faal.

Police said the incident happened last month. The woman, whose name wasn't disclosed, did not give permission for a video to be made of their lovemaking.

Sanneh was granted bail in the sum of D100,000 with three Gambian sureties. He's expected back in court on October 25.

In many countries, it is an offense to record an intimate image without consent.

But to convict Sanneh, police prosecutor Sargent ML Corrah must prove beyond reasonable doubt that Sanneh knew that the woman did not consent.
