A young man has revealed to What's On-Gambia that many Gambian slay queens who frequently travel to Dakar, the capital of Senegal, are involved in escorting.

"Many Gambian slay queens who are always here in Dakar engage in sex work. I live here and know all about their activities. If you visit clubs like Seven or  Club 154, you’ll see them," he stated.

He added, "They usually tell their families they're going to buy goods, but that's not the only thing they do. Most of the money they use to buy clothes and other items comes from men they meet at the clubs."

According to him, the slay queens often stay in guesthouses, where they bring some of these men.

Gambian girls are reportedly very popular among Senegalese men, especially those fluent in English or looking to improve their English skills.
