Hundreds of fans in Scotland turned out to listen to the newly-crowned king of kora, Jaliba Kuyateh.

It was on Saturday at Glasgow, and the event was organized by the Gambian in Scotland Community Association (GAMSCA).

According to reports reaching What’s On-Gambia, Jaliba successfully put on a well polished performance that kept the crowd pumping and got most of them dancing to some of his hit tunes.

“It was a good show and the turn out was good. Our aim was to bring Gambians in Scotland together and enjoy with Jaliba Kuyateh, “said Sulayman ‘Pa’ Sanyang a.k.a Marshall Telisman, GAMSCA’s Social Secretary.

The Gambian superstar is currently on an international tour with his Kumareh Band. Last weekend, he was crowned as the ‘King of Kora’ at a special ceremony held in Bristol, England.
