Meet Gambia’s most influential young journalists of 2020

Here are the most influential young journalists of The Gambia, aged 35 and under, who always keep their followers updated on imported news and development. 

They're also respected for their views and opinions on various issues and their constant hard work. 

Omar Wally 

A former senior reporter for the Daily Observer, Omar is now a freelancer who works for international media outlets including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of The Gambia. 

Fatou Elika Muloshi 

She is a reporter and news anchor at the Gambia Radio & Television Services. Fatou is a student at the University of The Gambia. 

Pa Nderry Touray 

A senior journalist at Star FM, Pa Nderry is among radio's top talkers. 

Mustapha Darboe 

A former reporter at Kerr Fatou, Mustapha is widely believed to be the country's finest investigative journalist. He's now the owner and editor of malagen.com 

Lamin Njie 

 He is the editor at the Fatu Network after a brief stint at the Ministry of Interior as a media assistant. 

Kebba Jeffang Jnr  

A former senior reporter at the Foroyaa Newspaper, Kebba is now an editor at the Chronicle - an online media outlet. 

Jainaba Sonko 

She's a reporter and news anchor at QTV. Jai holds a bachelors degree from the University of The Gambia.

Alagie Manneh 

Born and brought in Bakau, Alagie is a senior reporter and columnist at the Standard Newspaper

She's a senior news anchor at the Gambia Radio and Television Services. Fatoumatta is also a student at the University of The Gambia.

He's the co-host for Gambia Today - a current affairs show on GRTS (radio) that's increasingly becoming popular among radio listeners. 

Adama Fadera 

A former student of Mindaw Senior Secondary School, Fadera is one of the senior reporters at Home Digital FM in Brikama.

 Ebrima Jarra 

He's one of the youngest journalists in the country, but Ebrima has become very popular in a short space of time. He works at King FM

Yankuba Jallow 

He's a senior reporter at the Foroyaa Newspaper. Yankuba is also a student studying Law at the University of The Gambia.
