He was in the country on holiday for the first time last year when he was introduced to a girl that he later married. Mats Larsson enjoyed The Gambia so much that he wants to become a citizen.
“I love The Gambia. The people are extremely friendly. I want to live there,” said the 49-year-old during a telephone chat interview with What’s On-Gambia.
Mats, who works as a forklift driver in a warehouse, is returning to the country on the 31st August and wants to work briefly during his stay.
“I want to work this time. I am ready to take up any job available. Is there any employer that can offer me a job?”
When asked how he met his wife, the Swede responded: “His brother introduced us in 2013. We were talking online until last year when I travelled to meet her for the first time. She is an amazing woman!”
Mats lives in Växjo. It is one of the most famous cities in Southern Sweden, with a population of more than 63,000.
