Muhammed Jah and his siblings are now among the wealthiest in The Gambia

The enormity of the Jah fortune is no mystery to many Gambians. Muhammed Jah and his siblings are each worth millions of dalasi.

The Jahs’ success is staggering, especially after Muhammed started the private mobile telecommunications company, Qcell in July 2006. He is also the owner of QuantumNet, the country’s first internet service provider.

The Jahs just will not stop expanding their business empire. Hamidou Jah is the proprietor of Jah Oil, which has more than 20 petrol and gasoil filling stations around the county. He provides employment to dozens of young Gambians.

Hamdiou’s business, according to a source, is on an expansion mode that is expected to consolidate his position as one the most successful young businessmen in the country.

Anam Jah is also a millionaire, and only drives luxury cars. Her husband, Pa Jobe is the owner of Heewal Forex Bureau. The couple in recent years made fresh bets in other sectors.
