The Gambia's deputy ambassador to the United States, Mustapha Sosseh has joined the growing list of Barrow appointees who are taking second wives.
The diplomat tied the knot with his second wife after his appointment by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
One Facebook user, Fatoumatta Jallow Bah was among the first to congratulate him writing: "Congratulations to the deputy ambassador to Washington DC on your second wife.
However, she added: "After everything your first wife has done for you, especially when the going was tough, this is how you repay her."
Reacting to her post, Salles Jatta in Norway, who's married to a Norwegian man, revealed: "My ex-husband did the same to me. She should put her head high up. This will make her to be strong for herself and the kids."
Famous Belgium-based political activist, Bulli Sowe also commented: “They are enjoying the national cake that's why they marrying second wives."
According to Mustapha's Facebook page, he started working at the Gambian Embassy in Washington DC on the 11th March 2018.
