Alasana Bah, an Oustass in Brikama, might spend the rest of his life in Mile 2 prison after he was caught red-handed having sex with his 13-year-old student.

"Another student entered his room and found him on top of the girl. She told her parents and the police were quickly informed," said a source. 

According to the Particulars of Offence seen by What's On-Gambia, the incident happened on February 15, 2024. "Alasana intentionally under coercive circumstances engaged in a sexual act with the girl who at the time was her student."

An insider at the Brikama District Hospital disclosed that the Oustass had sex with the girl multiple times. She said: "She destroyed the child beyond repair." 

Appearing before Magistrate Fatoumatta Darboe-Jaguraga, Alasana, who's married with children, pleaded guilty to having unlawful sexual intercourse with the 13-year-old. 

Sex with a minor (under 18) is prohibited in The Gambia even if the sex was consensual and even if it was initiated by the minor.
