One of The Gambia’s leading reggae musician, Royal Messenjah was captured buying ram at the Abuko Livestock Market.
The video, which was shared by the award-winning singer on Instagram, garnered more than 3000 views. He wrote: “My favorite spot, Abuko.”
In the video, Royal could be heard saying he is looking for a ram that would be easy to grill.
Isn’t the singer a real RASTA?
“I don’t think Royal knows the beliefs and principles of Rastafari. Having dreadlocks doesn’t make one a rasta. But he is a brilliant reggae singer,” said a Gambian music enthusiast.
