Having many cars with private number plates or being a household name doesn’t do much to prevent bankruptcy. Former millionaire, Tin Tin is now jobless and scrambling to protect the little he has left.
Tin Tin, whose real name is Muhammed Lamin Sanneh was recognized as the most successful semester in the late 1990s. He married and dated some of the most beautiful girls in town. But he soon found himself unable to support his luxurious lifestyle.
“His priorities were out of order,†said Buba Jatta, a Kololi resident.
A reliable source disclosed to What’s On-Gambia that he is currently offered a part time job at the Kombo Beach Hotel.
“I used to see him on the beach, helping tourists to fix their sunbeds, “said a vendor at the BB Craft Market.
In July, 2009 it was reported by the Daily Observer that the former millionaire appeared before a high court judge in Banjul on charges of conspiracy to defraud, obtaining money by false pretence and receiving stolen property.
