A Germany-based semester, Ebrima Saine, has taken his former girlfriend to court, demanding the return of over D135,000 he claims to have spent on her during their relationship. 

The case, which is set to be heard later this month at the Kanifing Magistrate's Court, comes after Ebrima learned that the woman he had intended to marry had instead wed another man.

He has enlisted the services of Lawyer Baboucarr Mbye to recover the funds.

According to a source, the couple's relationship was fraught with difficulties before the woman ended it and moved on to her current husband.

The source further revealed that Ebrima's legal action may be motivated by a desire for revenge, claiming that he has also threatened to leak intimate photos of his ex-girlfriend.
