One of Serigne Touba's most prominent grandsons, Serigne Abdou Karim Mbacke is to visit The Gambia from the 4th -7th April.

"It will be his first visit to The Gambia and the second time travelling outside Senegal. We are expecting thousands of people to welcome him at the Amdalai Border," said a member of Khitmatoul Karim Touba Gambia.

During his visit, Serigne Abdou Karim will preside at religious ceremonies and meet members of the Mouride brotherhood in the country.

He is the son of Serigne Mouhamadou Fallou Mbacke (1888-1968). His father served as the second caliph at Touba from 1945 until his death in 1968.
