TV presenter, Ida Bidwell is accused of overstating the achievements of Mimi Ceesay when she guested on the 29^th December episode of Banjul Nightlive (BNL). 

Ida told GRTS viewers that Mimi is a Hollywood actress – meaning she regularly rubs shoulders with stars like Angelina Jolie, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Scarlett Johansson and Nicole Kidman. 

“…she is a Hollywood actress. She’s just all over the place. And people need to know this,” said the popular presenter. 

Maybe Mimi has starred in American movies, but at the moment she’s not a Hollywood actress.  She’s among the many young Gambians who are trying their hand at international acting.

However, the Amberton University graduate is one of the most charismatic and successful US-based Gambian models. She is the owner of Mimi’s Hot Couture.  According to her, she has modelled for top international designers and once did a commercial for Blackberry. 

When our editor contacted Mimi to find out more about her acting career, the model declined to comment. She’s currently in the country on holiday.
