It seems T Smallz has had an amazing year. Not only did he host the Open Mic festival, he also won two awards and the most recent is Gambia Talents Promotions’ Song of the Year award for his hit single, Al Bullo.Â
The Bakau rapper-cum-producer won with 24.6% of the total votes, beating stars like Gee, Manding Morry, Killa Ace and ST.Â
Last Sunday, he was presented with the award and a cash prize of GMD7500 at the Velvet Nightclub during the filming of Banjul Nightlive.Â
Gambia Talents Promotions’ Pa Ousman Joof said: “The voting process was very interesting. Gee was leading during the first 3 weeks before Killa Ace took over the chart for a whole week. T Smallz has always maintained the 3rd place from the beginning until during the last days of voting when he catapulted himself to the top.â€Â
Ebrima Kebbeh, a prominent member of T Smallz’ management team, said the Al Bullo hit maker is the only artist in the country who drops hit songs every year. Â
He added: “Love it or hate it Trobul Smallz a.k.a T Smallz Suso is the best this year, next year, any other year... he is an artist who believes in what he does and keeping it real all day, every day.... he didn't make noise to be awarded he worked hard for it....â€
