It was all good just few months ago with Manding Morry and his former manageress, Matty Jobe, but for some strange reasons the best friends have now decided to part ways. 

Matty, who works with the National Council for Arts and Culture, is well-known in the Gambian music industry. On the 25th October 2013, she is organizing a fundraising show for one of her youth development projects at the Alliance Franco. The lineup of artists participating has been announced, but to everyone’s surprise Manding Morry is not appearing. 

What happened? 

According to the coordinator of Manding Morry’s fan club, Fatma Katz Jawara, the two are still working together and have not parted ways. “They have no problems at all. They still do things together. He will not be in town by then and that's why he is not on the list.” 

“Katz is lying!” said a close source to the afro-manding star. “Manding will be in town at the time of the event. They are having issues lately, but that’s not stopping them from talking to each other or communicating when they have to. I’m not really sure what the matter is. Matty said Manding is accusing her of being jealous that Mariama Colley is his new manageress. So when she called him to perform at her show he refused.” 

What’s On-Gambia investigations revealed the pair stopped working together, following trust and commitment issues.  Manding Morry became dissatisfied with Matty’s leadership and commitment to his musical journey. 

“He lost confidence in her and was no longer sure that she has what it takes to help him further his career,” added our source. 

When reached for comments, both Matty and Manding Morry declined to speak to our reporter.
