China-based Gambian football star, Steve Trawally has bagged his first Most Valuable Player (MVP) award after his hat-trick against Beijing Guoan.
He edged out famous Chinese footballers to take home the prestigious award.
"I am really happy to finally bag the MVP award. This is something that I yearned for so long. I want to thank everyone that believes in me. I will continue to work hard to win more awards in the future,” Steve told sports journalist Buba Jallow Fallaboweh.
The award was accompanied with a cash prize of $5000.
According to the famous footballer, he is going to donate the money to the SOS Children’s Village in Bakoteh and an orphanage in Siffoe.
