Contrary to rumours you might have heard, this creepy toilet selfie that is making rounds on the internet these days was not taken in The Gambia.

The selfie, which shows two young women in a toilet, has divided those who have seen it with much of the online furore focused around the girls’ nationality.

 “I got the photo from a Gambian WhatsAPP group. According to a friend, they are Gambians” said a source.

What’s On-Gambiawas able to establish that the girls are Nigerians. According to the Nigerian media, the selfie was originally posted on Instagram where it was downloaded and circulated online.
