Despite her old age, Maire Pehkonen, a Swedish pensioner, said she recently received 1200 marriage proposals from bumsters on Facebook.  

In an interview with a Swedish newspaper, Expressen, the 75-year-old, who's currently in the country, disclosed she's now dating one of the men who contacted her.  

The couple are planning to tie the knot very soon at the Ministry of Justice in Banjul. It will be her fourth marriage with a Gambian - her last marriage collapsed after her husband was denied a spouse visa by the Swedish Migration Agency.  

According to Maire, every woman needs a man in her life including pensioners like her who want to maintain sexual intimacy as they get closer to their grave.   

She described her soon-to-be husband as a "kind and thoughtful young man," but said his apartment is dirty and infested with rats.  

"It's a shitty apartment. I saw two big rats, and the toilet has no water making it difficult to keep a good standard of hygiene. A few days ago, I nearly died here." 

The couple are currently looking for a new apartment, according to Maire
