One Juma John of Kololi has dragged her boyfriend to court for beating her in a Senegambia restaurant in front of other diners.

The boyfriend, Abubakar Sillah denied the allegations while appearing before the Kanifing Magistrates' Court. He allegedly smashed a beer bottle over the woman's head.

A source disclosed: "Juma lodged him at her apartment, but he was persistently into quarrels with her. He threatened to kill her multiple times. She got scared and went to report him to the Kololi Police Station."

The source added: "Sillah later met Juma at a restaurant with another man and started insulting her and her parents. He pulled her hair and smashed her in the head with a beer bottle."

The couple are expected to re-appear in court on July 14. During the last sitting, Sillah was warned that he faces arrest if he goes near Juma.
