The Smiling Coast: English FA boss, Greg Dyke ends holiday in The Gambia

He is one of the most powerful men in English football.

Greg Dyke has left The Gambia after a two-week holiday with his wife and two family friends.  So far, he is the most famous British tourist to visit the country this season.

The 67-year-old became the Chairman of the English FA in July 2013 after working with famous teams like Brentford FC and Manchester United.

According to the Daily Observer, Greg had a ‘friendly chat’ with the president of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) during his short holiday.

He wants to help The Gambia to come up with a strategy that seeks to ensure participation of top Gambian players in the Premier League.

The FA boss was very happy that English football is keenly followed in The Gambia.

Greg Dyke once served as Director General of the BBC. Last year, he made headlines when he proposed radical restructuring of English football.
