As the 2021 presidential election approaches, a die-hard supporter of Ousainou Darboe was recently in the holy town of Touba to pray for the UDP leader to win the election.
"UDP is my party. I came here to pray for us to win the upcoming election. I went to the Serign and he also prayed," he said in a video that was shared on Facebook.
He described Darboe as a humble and thoughtful leader.
"If he wins the election, he will work for the betterment of The Gambia. Since Adama Barrow came to power, there has been a disturbing surge of violent crimes in the country."
The die-hard Darboe supporter was among hundreds of Gambians who participated in this year's Grand Magal of Touba.
