Reggae dancehall singer, Silky Criss launched his maiden mixtape, Wordz of Truth last weekend. The guest artists for the occasion included T-Smallz, Kerr Gi Family, Killa Ace and many more.Â
The upcoming star was received with wild cheers from the crowd that thronged Alliance Franco to hear him belt out some of the finest tracks in Gambian reggae dancehall.Â
An excited Silky Criss thanked all those who supported him and his management in launching the mixtape: “OMG! Words cannot express my heartfelt appreciation to all of you. My show was a great success, thanks to you. The crowd I have seen, the love I have been shown, the support I received all added a unique value in my life and career. I appreciate you, I love you, and you have motivated me to do more. I shall never let you down….â€Â
The Latrikunda German-based singer’s event received generally positive reviews from music pundits. Top rapper, Killa Ace gave him a nice compliment.Â

The 21-year-old has been involved in music since at tender age. He is sure to be a big name in Gambian music and is seeking to bring his style to international prominence.Â
He told What’s On-Gambia: “I am planning a country wide tour, and more international promotion because I want to set the standard.â€Â
